️🗣️ DMD Diamond Blockchain’s Updates For August 2024 ✨✨.

Another month of active developments has come to end, here are the developments that happened on the blockchain in August 2024 👇

▶️ We are excited to let you know that we are almost done with DMDv4 coding. Most of the work done this month was toward merging all codes together – in preparation for the code audit. We currently have a contract with an audit company called Softstack. Code audit has started for the claiming contract, while the core and DAO contracts audit would follow at open beta start (expected by mid September).

▶️ For the DAO, we have significantly redesigned what kind of changes can be linked to a particular proposal type and also added a security check on the contract level that filters out alien changes beyond what has been set.

▶️ On the core contract side, we have completed it with the full implementation of the validator score system, including the ability of validator candidates to gather scores slowly, without even being selected into the active set. As a result, new nodes can be trusted on the ecosystem over time. The flawless availability of a node within a month should also make it attain a maximum trust score. The minimum and maximum scores are 1 and 1000 respectively.

A node can lose points when it misbehaves – either by not taking part in the validator work of block creations or at the initial threshold key generation phase. Other validators decide misbehavior by 2/3 majority decisions. When a node misbehaves, it loses 100 points.

DMD Diamond Blockchain's Updates

▶️ A new internal closed testnet (Alpha4) has started – where all changes are implemented and for doing the final pre-open beta launch tests.

▶️ After years of active focus on code development of the blockchain, there’s currently ongoing marketing efforts to get the needed awareness pre-DMDv4 mainnet release. As a result, we have started experiencing significant traffic to our website and followership on our social media. More people are asking how the ecosystem works and started stocking up the DMD diamond coins.

▶️ We migrated to a new Discord server! That was following difficulty in securing community ownership of the old Discord. If you haven’t joined, please click here!

▶️ ️Here’s a reminder that we are a transparent, open-source ecosystem. We embrace a complete, open development with open issues and boards with priorities. Our whitepaper has also been moved to GitHub to exhibit open-source abilities.

As a community driven blockchain, it’s our shared effort to make the DMD diamond ecosystem stay on top of the future heterogenous Interoperable blockchain. Therefore, we are always looking forward to your suggestions for improvements on the code developments and documentations on GitHub

▶️ We will be presenting at the Barcelona Blockchain Conference come 25th to 26th September, 2024. It’s planned and expected that by mid-September, the Open Beta version of DMDv4 and code audit should be running.
